How the new measure of obesity (WHR) can significantly alter your health, aging and menopause symptoms

Your waistline can be slowly killing you AND worsening your menopause symptoms.

This new way of measuring obesity makes it easy to keep track of and what you probably don't know is that new research makes it easier to reverse it!

I'm very excited to share this with you today!

Research on measurement of obesity using BMI as a measure, has been used extensively in the medical world as a predictor of cardiovascular disease, diabetes and other obesity related conditions.

A newer measure called Waist-to-hip Ratio or WHR is now considered a better standard and there has been found a “potentially causal” relationship between WHR and death from a variety of causes. In other words, they concluded that WHR is a better health outcome indicator than BMI.

Obesity is also considered a major factor in symptomatic menopause including the increased association with thyroid disorders, cardiovascular conditions and cancers. There is also research demonstrating that many women store estrogen in their fatty tissue and giving HRT/BHRT could just make them worse!

WHR is an easy way to see if you are at risk.

This makes it highly important for women to be aware of and is a great way to measure your improvement on our customized menopause program!

But, how do we measure WHR?

WHO recommends standing up and using a tape measure.

Measure your waist circumference by wrapping the tape measure around the narrowest point of the torso, said Matthews. That point is generally about halfway between the lowest rib and the tip of the hip bone.

Then he said to place the tape measure parallel to the floor and measure the widest point around your buttocks and thighs.

Divide your waist circumference by your hip circumference to get your final measurement. If it is over .80, you are at risk, and it is subtracting years from your life.

WHAT SHOULD YOU DO NOW?

The exciting news is that for each small reduction in your WHR, you can get those years back, improve your menopause symptoms and live a longer healthier life!

In the last five years research is demonstrating diet and supplementation and lifestyle changes that can make a big impact on your ability to reduce your waistline AND become healthier. These are "secrets" your doctor probably does not know because they are not pharmaceutical.

You can lose weight, reduce cholesterol, protect against cancer and heart disease and add HEALTHY years to your life.
